EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT
Educational Support is one of the mission categories in the Community Partnership Initiative. Community partners and projects with the mission of Educational Support work to address educational and learning needs, including inequalities within the community, as well as the nation and the world.
UNO has more than 180 partnerships with community organizations that address issues related to educational support and has identified over 340 educational support projects that make an impact on the community.
One of these projects was carried out by College of Education student and athlete Breanna Brown. Since 2015, Breanna has volunteered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) program. BBBS helps children realize their potential and build their futures by matching them with caring adult mentors.
