Description : UNO students from the Freshman Leadership Council will partner with students from Nathan Hale middle school to learn about Secret Kindness Agents. They conducted activites such as identified specific secret kindness agent activites to incorporate into the semester. Description : UNO CDIS 8450 will help with creation of video modeling activities for the ASN Fall Festival. The ASN Fall Festival will be conducted via Zoom this semester. UNO SLP and OT students will be split into small groups and develop video models of activities ASN participants can do in the comfort of their own home. All brainstorming sessions between UNO SLP and Creighton OT students will happen via Zoom – meeting times will be scheduled by group members based on their individual schedules. All activities recorded will still be based around a Fall Festival theme.

Description : UNO students enrolled in Kersten Borer SOWK 1500-001; Social Work and Civic Engagement, work alongside Ms. Amy Cerra’s Omaha South Pottery Class to support the staff from the D2 Center and help with burnout prevention. UNO students will design a workshop to support and encourage the D2 staff. In addition, UNO students will partner with Ms. Cerra’s Pottery Class who will help to support the D2 staff.

Description : UNO students enrolled in Kersten Borer SOWK 1500-001: Social Work and Civic Engagement, work with the DSA Programs and sign up for events through Sign Up Genius. UNO students support programming throughout the semester and have the opportunity to participate in the Improv groups that happen on Saturdays for 3 hours in the morning, Down to Box group that happens on Saturdays, later in the day, which is open to all physical levels, a list of fall activities, and the DSA walk.

Description : "Group 1: Virtual Programming Students worked virtually with learning community groups and parent groups based on curriculum outlined by Down Syndrome Alliance. UNO students worked virtually with YAS! -Young Adult (and Adolescent) Series (YAS!) is programming for tweens, teens, and young adults to adulthood. YAS! programs/classes this semester will focus on Circles, Down 2 Box, Improv, Cooking Classes and more. The classes ran on weekends/evenings -times/days vary depending on the class and event. Group 2: Planning Committee March is Down Syndrome Awareness month, and UNO students worked virtually brainstorming and creating ideas for bringing awareness to Down Syndrome. Participated in Inclusion Day, Giving Day and building resources and materials for dance parties and the cooking class. They also had the opportunity to develop motivational posts for use with social media as well as using those creative skills to assist the agency with outreach and awareness.
