Description : Students from UNO's Thompson Learning Community are working with middle school students from Parternship 4 Kids to meet the identified needs of the Hunger Collaborative by raising awareness of food insecurity at local metro grocery stores.  Students also journaled about how to utilize their identified strengths to meet the needs of the project and exchanged them throughout the semester. Description : Though this service project, led by Karen Weber and UNO PRSSA, 300 coloring and activity books were printed and distributed in Spring 2021 to the visiting nurses association as well as the MICAH house, a homeless shelter located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This year (Spring 2022) UNO PRSSA partnered with the YMCA to donate coloring and activity books.

Description : In this project Maverick PR produced a series of videos for UNO MOEC (Metropolitan Omaha Education Consortium) and Raise me to Read. The videos were produced in English and Spanish and encouraged child literacy.
