Description : College band students from Josh Kearney’s MUS 3610 partner up with a 6th grade students from Western Hills Elementary. Students learned marching band techniques taught by UNO students and built relationships with UNO students. The college students also get to develop their teaching skills during this interaction.

Description : This project was canceled due to the transition to remote learning. UNO Elementary Music Methods students will be teaching etiquette to students at Western Hills Elementary School with the help of community partner Courteous Kids. UNO students will create original piggyback songs, which change the lyrics of popular songs to teach a specific lesson. The students will have the opportunity to use this method to teach important life skills to elementary students.
