Description : Moral Courage is a brand new SLA project involving Dr. Rosemary Strasser's Intro to Psychology students and Mrs. Alee Cotton's senior World Literature students from Marian High School. Students met entirely over Zoom for the semester, creating a piece of curicculum to later be utilized by the Anti-Defamation League with Ayanna Boykins. Students had an extra credit opportunity to attend a Holocaust Speaker from the IHE.

Description : UNO students enrolled in Don Bowen’s Media Storytelling class worked with students from Buffett Magnet Middle School.  The students worked together to create multimedia materials for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The students split into three groups that worked on projects with the topics of PEW (Promoting Empowerment in our World), anti-bullying, and social media. The groups created videos that the ADL can use to promote the work they do.

Description : UNO Political Science students worked with Northwest High Magnet School students to build facilitation skills through planning a sustained dialogue event with the Anti-Defamation League. The students worked with small groups throughout the semester to simulate a conversation around how to make Omaha a more welcoming place. The UNO and Northwest students hosted area high school students on UNO's campus to hold a sustained dialogue event where they discussed problems facing Omaha and created action items of how they can be a part of finding solutions to those problems.

Description : UNO students enrolled in Kersten Borer SOWK 1500-001: Social Work and Civic Engagement will research selected sites in ADL’s Walk Against Hate and interview community members who have a connection to the site. These interviews are recorded and turned into videos (Vidgrid) or podcasts that are played on the ADL website (adlplains.org). Students can also provide essays, artwork, or blurbs about their thoughts associated with the site. In addition, UNO students work alongside the Secondary Success Program (SSP) and Blackburn Art students to create pieces of art for a site or two in ADL’s Walk Against Hate. UNO students will meet with the SSP and Blackburn students to share about the interviews that will inspire the artwork.
