Description : During the internship, the intern supported the development and distribution of promotional materials, correspondence and event communications. The intern also assisted with the creation and implementation of worksite wellness documents and tools. The intern was also responsible for planning and executing an event of the organization. Lastly, the intern entered data and provided administrative support as needed. Interns also complete surveys, reflection assignments, and graded assignments throughout the semester.

Description : From 2014 to 2019, WELLCOM (now The Wellbeing Partners) has had a total of 13 UNO student interns. Each student received credit toward their degree and the nature of the internship was distributed between administrative, programmatic, and research. UNO student interns worked side by side with the professional staff learning the fundamentals of worksite wellness, as well as completed a unique semester-long project that provided benefit to the student and the organization.

Description : From 2017 to 2019, UNO doctoral candidate in the CPACS Public Administration interned with Live Well Omaha Kids. The doctoral student created a collective impact measurement strategy and created an organizational theory of change. Live Well Omaha has also done contract work with this student post-graduation.

Description : Worked with the Career & Student Services Associate from the School of Public Administration to secure a student volunteer, resulting in more than 100 volunteer hours. Volunteer experience from the student turned into an internship for credit the following semester.

Description : In 2018, Live Well Omaha hosted the Changemakers Summit. Two UNO students assisted with the event as volunteers. The students received scholarships to attend the event, which hosted up to one hundred community members at the Highlander Center.

Description : UNO student volunteered for Live Well Omaha by attending health-related public meetings in the Omaha area. The student took notes at the meetings and wrote blogs about how health shows up in public places. Public meetings included the Douglas County Board of Health, Douglas County Commissioner, and Omaha Public Schools Board of Education.
