Description :
Nebraska HeartBeats is a collaborative project that aims to improve the quality of life of people affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) through participatory, creative musical experiences with the University of Nebraska at Omaha Maverick String Quartet. The goal of Nebraska HeartBeats is to provide social and emotional support to individuals and their care partners affected by ADRD. Through an adaptive music curriculum that focuses on musician/participant interaction, the UNO Maverick String Quartet aims to address the emotional and social needs of participants while contributing to the environment of care.
