Description : Cybercrimes are becoming more commonplace, more dangerous and more sophisticated. NBDC is partnering with the FBI to educate the business community on the latest onslaught of cyber threats, how you can protect your operation and who to call at the FBI for help. The seminar is part of FBI CREST (Community Relations Executive Seminar Training) – a program designed to build trust and strengthen relationships between the FBI and the communities it serves. Classes are taught by FBI executives, senior special agents, and program managers.

Description : I will be teaming up with Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and specifically their branch called creative mornings. This part of the organization is aimed at connecting and inspiring creatives around Omaha. As a class we will work to understand, serve, and enhance the organization. We will be a part of their monthly meetings and work to develop an event/activity that helps them better connect creatives that don’t already know about creative mornings.

Description : CPAR worked with a variety of statewide partners to understand the impact of COVID-19 on Nebraska’s businesses and nonprofit organizations. In the Nebraska Business Response Survey Report, conducted in April 2020, we examine the impacts of COVID-19 by industry and region.conducted a second round of the Nebraska Business Response Survey. In June 2020 a follow up survey was conducted.

Description : The intern assisted with the development of a variety of initiatives. At the Chamber of Commerce, the intern supported and promoted the Greater Omaha Young Professionals organization. The intern developed digital content for the YP Newsletter and managed the YP social media channels in an effort to increase engagement. Lastly, the intern worked on the Chamber’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Description : Using a participatory, utilization-focused approach, STEPs will work with the Greater Omaha Chamber to conduct focus groups and analyze results. Additional funds of $1,000 are being provided by the Greater Omaha Chamber to accomplish this component of the original evaluation plan.
