Description : Faculty and students from UNO, OAYO, North and Bryan will build musical relationships, and explore communication, leadership, mentorship, and pedagogical skills.   An on campus clinic will be held for on one day for  high school students to participate in campus visits, on campus lunch and on campus, in depth clinic activities with conductors and UNO musicians.  A side by side concert will also be held with the Heartland Philharmonic, Bryan and North High Schools.

Description : Throughout the spring semester, UNO students from Professor Grant’s Introduction to Sustainability course will work with Bryan High School students in partnership with Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) on the Ozone Garden Project. UNO and Bryan students will use handheld ozone monitors to measure ozone concentrations in the air at school's idling zones. In addition, they will meet to develop a communication project which will inform campus users about air quality and maintaining an idle free zone.

Description : Students from Professor Farrah Grant's Intro to Sustainability Course are parterned alongside students from Omaha Bryan High School to learn and discover the means to create a sustainable food environment within the Omaha Area. UNO students will meet with No More Empty Pots and will visit Omaha Bryan's state of the art agricultural center. Both student groups are collaborating online throughout the semester to discuss their findings and research questions.

Description : UNO students from Instructor Rita Shaughnessy's Fundamentals of Public Speaking course and League of Women Voters will host a workshop for young women from Omaha High Schools. The workshop will introduce them to the political process and possibly encourage them to run for office one day by inviting locally elected women officals to share their experiences and allowing the young women to practice developing a mock political campaign.
