Description : The Futures Fair brings middle school students on campus to meet representatives from community partners, local businesses, UNO departments and organizations, and representatives from Metropolitan Community College. Partnership 4 Kids, in conjunction with the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Goodrich Program and Metropolitan Community College will host their annual “Futures Fair”, a career exploration event, designed specifically for middle school students. Nearly 250 middle-school students attend at the CEC on the UNO campus, where these pre-teens will get a glimpse at their future career possibilities and receive first-hand insights as well as expert advice from Omaha business professionals representing occupations ranging from aviation to advertising. Not only will Partnership 4 Kids students explore the wide range of possible career opportunities that exist locally, but they will also get a taste of higher education from current Goodrich Scholars who will serve as the students’ personal guides and advisors for the duration of the career fair. Partnership 4 Kids started collaborating with UNO for the annual futures fair in 2013, while P4K has hosted this event for many years prior.
