MS Forward was created in 2003 as a person-focused place where those combatting the effects of disease or aging could go to engage in movement and strengthening in a supportive, inspiring, and safe space. The idea for this new project was born through a desire to provide students an opportunity to learn, interact, asses, and understand more about individuals living with chronic conditions. KS goals: To give students a hands-on learning experience that will showcase how to think holistically as a future health career professional. Do biopsychosocial assessments, develop workout routines and complete them with the MSForward clients. UNO class goals: provide honors student to mentor middle school student and engage with MS Forward clients in learning workout modifications for those with physical impairments. MSF goals: to give the clients a sense of purpose and giving back to the community. They get to share their stories and experiences with their disability."" " | ||
