This semester is the first time for them to work on this service learning project. UNO and Northwest students will visit Glacier Creek Preserve, which is a 172 ha (424 acre) preserve situated northwest of Omaha and part of UNO, for field sampling. After the field sampling, students will conduct field analysis, testing nitrogen mass in the soil samples. They will also develop a model of nitrogen movement using GIS mapping. | ||
