GTWO is an ongoing partnership between Dr. Ritzman’s SPED 4750 Childhood Language Disorders class and Blackburn Alternative Program High School students. Each year, the project has a different focus and community partner. This year, the project focus was with Kellom Elementary. The UNO students taught 5 sessions throughout the semester in either Ms. Colon (English and Yearbook) or Ms. George (Arts and Computer Graphics) classes. SPED 4750 students learned to work hands-on in any type of classroom (“Language is Everywhere”) and Blackburn students received learning assistance in their respective classrooms. As a community partner, Kellom Elementary students worked with UNO students to create a zine of pictures. |
