Attendees will learn of the wide range of IMA student and academic programs that can enhance their programs. Special focus will be on the IMA Higher Education Endorsement program. Specifically, the topics covered will include the value of IMA Endorsement to the University, and their stakeholders, a reviewer’s insights and tips to submit a complete application to ensure a timely review period; and the influence of IMA Endorsement on leadership and professional development for the University globally.

Attendees were asked to share their insights and experiences with other participants. Facilitated by members of the IMA D&I Committee, topics included: Their knowledge and expectations of what D&I are; Their personal experiences with D&I in the workplace/profession; &The influence of D&I practices on leadership and professional development in different types of organizations.
IMA Applied Research Lab: 2016-17 (1869) Economic Impact, Educational Support Institute of Management Accountants Accounting Engaged Research Faculty Research None Summer 2016-17 Summer 2016-17 0 0 0 0 0 0 Education, Employment and Workforce Counterproductive work behavior (CWB), also called workplace deviance, has recently received significant attention in the organizational behavior literature. CWB includes actions such as theft, fraud, non-compliant purchasing, intentionally working at a slower place, intentional deception by employees in order to gain resources, and similar problems of concern to the profession (Karjalainen, Kemppainen, and Raaij 2009). In this research, Roopa Venkatesh and others proposed a study directed at understanding the individual-level characteristics that contribute to CWB in managerial accountants, specifically, the creation of budgetary slack.
