The middle school students would arrange them on their desks to signal whether or not they needed help or were able to provide help.
Senior Prom (Spring 2018): 2017-18 Educational Support, Health and Wellness Civic Nebraska, Lewis and Clark Middle School, Omaha Public Schools Gerontology, Service Learning Academy (SLA) Service Learning Course None Spring 2017-18 None None 25 525 0 15 225 0 Gerontology UNO gerontology students worked with Lewis and Clark Middle School students in their afterschool program with Civic Nebraska, to plan a senior prom for seniors in the community and seniors from AARP. Students worked to plan the prom's logistics, including the schedule, it's activities and making the decorations. The prom is the culmination of their project and they celebrate together, eating, dancing and listening to music.

Students from BLST/WGST 1950 Black Women in America class worked with Girl Scout troop from Lewis & Clark Middle School for several after-school sessions to discuss life goals, career planning, and salary negotiation. Students worked on self-expression, building self-confidence and self-efficacy.

The project aimed to provide these students with the skills to make a book for children that incorporates numbers, age appropriate text, visuals, and textiles.

This service learning project has UNO students perform a dress rehearsal for the P-12 students in preparation for their main chamber event coming up in April. This gives Lewis & Clark Middle School and Nathan Hale Middle School students the opportunity to watch UNO students’ performances and further their learning in chamber music. P-16 Project. The Expo represents a collaborative effort between the SPIRIT Project and the Nebraska 4-H Youth Development project, and FIRST® LEGO® League to create an outstanding robotics competition for about 1,000 of our local and greater Nebraska area youth. As you cheer on our future scientists and engineers, we encourage you to visit the CEENBoTTM Showcase, FIRST LEGO League events, sponsor booths, and museum exhibits.

UNO students will have an opportunity to work with Civic Nebraska twice a week in Lewis and Clark G.I.V.E. program on preparing senior prom project. At prom, students would set up activities and food to celebrate the event. Due to remote learning, UNO and G.I.V.E. students will write poems about generations and submit them into an online contests and UNO online.
