The day long event reached 800 participants and was produced and broadcasted live by UNO TV.

This was a collaboration between UNO-OLLAS and The Union for Contemporary Art.
Classical Kid Program: 2016-17 (2199) Arts, Culture and Humanities, Educational Support International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training KVNO Radio Knowledge and Resource Sharing Community-oriented lecture/event None Fall 2016-17 Summer 2022-23 0 0 0 0 0 0 Youth Programming, Leadership and Mentoring, Capacity Building, Music/Dance In this monthly program UNO highlights a local student aged 8-14 for their classical music prowess. Students either compose, play, or sing music which is aired on KVNO radio along with an interview. The chosen students are also awarded a $300 scholarship as well as a Fall showcase with their peers.

The course also emphasizes fieldwork and prepares students for life in the newsroom and creative environments.

This course takes place at Mammel Hall in the week leading up to the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting and is attended by shareholders from all around the world.

As its coordinator, Melodae Morris is responsible for kicking off the event, announcing awards and giving the ending presentation.

Approximately 350 high school students and advisers from area high schools attend. Melodae Morris is the coordinator for the event. She opened the conference, spoke at lunch, presented to Dr. Sherrie Wilson a service award and presented the student awards as a culmination of a journalism/broadcasting contest.
Chemistry Olympiad: 2016-17 (2600) Educational Support American Chemical Society, International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training Chemistry Knowledge and Resource Sharing Access to Higher Education None Spring 2016-17 Spring 2022-23 0 0 0 0 0 0 Youth Programming, Leadership and Mentoring, Capacity Building Edmund Tisko coordinates the Chemistry Olympiad, which identifies the top two students from Omaha area high schools based on their testing scores. The students are then invited to participate in a standardized three-part chemistry test in competition with students from all over the country.

The chapter focused on awareness of this underserved community, while also providing students with writing instruction.

Our goal is to educate, remind you that you aren’t alone, and give you tools to navigate living and watching war.

The article also discusses the College of Communication Fine Arts and Media, School of Communication participation.
