UNO students in the course are brand new to the world of education, so service learning is a good way to connect with P-12 students as they engage in their own coursework. Lewis and Clark students will work together in various groups with the UNO students and discuss their experiences at the community organizations. At the end of the course, Lewis and Clark students will advocate for two of the visited organizations of their choice to receive the a grant. The top choice will receive $750, and the second choice will receive a $250 MPI grant and present their case to the UNO students in their groups. The UNO students, then, along with the Lewis and Clark students will vote for one organization to receive the grant. TED 8180.001 MPI
