Students select and research a community agency of their own interest, then develop and present a persuasive speech and call to action on behalf of the organization. This is a student led initiative, giving students a $1,000 grant to distribute to one community agency - the persuasive speech presentation with the best call to action.
Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership Needs Assessment (Spring 2017): 2016-17 (369) Economic Impact, Educational Support Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership Support and Training for the Evaluation of Programs (STEPs) Engaged Research None None Spring 2016-17 Summer 2016-17 1 0 0 0 0 0 Self-Sufficiency, Capacity Building The goal of this evaluation is to assess the needs of the populations of Douglas and Sarpy counties related to services provided by the Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP), and to assist ENCAP to create new programs to help meet unmet needs. The evaluation will include a the development of a logic model, a review of existing data and literature on national trends, demographic analysis of the specified counties, qualitative analysis of interviews with key informants and focus groups, and recommendations for revisions to existing programs.
