This project allowed the elementary students to foster intergenerational relationships between themselves and their senior buddies through their creation of poetry and art. UNO students benefited by the gained experience of supervising a community partnership and learning about the importance of engaging their future students with opportunities outside the classroom. | ||

This project allowed the elementary students to foster relationships between themselves, UNO grad students, and the clients from ACN through the creation of STEAM based collaboration activities. Some of these activities included making origami, slime, and tinker toys. UNO students benefited by the gained experience of making lesson plans and working with students and adults with disabilities. To culminate the project, origami butterflies that were made during the project were hung on light up trees and given to Black Elk and ACN. |
