UNO PRSSA 'Winter Wonderland' Event: 2020-21 (2412) Health and Wellness, Social Justice The MICAH House, Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) Communication Volunteering Volunteerism None Spring 2020-21 Spring 2020-21 0 0 0 0 0 0 Medical Humanities, Disadvantaged Populations, Social Justice Awareness Though this service project, led by Karen Weber and UNO PRSSA, 300 coloring and activity books were printed and distributed in Spring 2021 to the visiting nurses association as well as the MICAH house, a homeless shelter located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This year (Spring 2022) UNO PRSSA partnered with the YMCA to donate coloring and activity books.

Students select and research a community agency of their own interest, then develop and present a persuasive speech and call to action on behalf of the organization. This is a student led initiative, giving students a $1,000 grant to distribute to one community agency - the persuasive speech presentation with the best call to action. MPI Traditional Project.
