Description : STEPs proposes to partner with Girls Rock to conduct an evaluation of the short-term impact of Girls Rock programming following the preparation of a literature review and logic model, and enhancement of Girls Rock's survey through the incorporation of a valid and reliable measurement tool. STEPs will then clean and analyze data from quantitative surveys conducted by Girls Rock, and conduct and analyze results of four focus groups in order to gain rich, unique perspectives on the short-term impact of Girls Rock.

Description : STEPs proposes to conduct an evaluation of the effectiveness of hotel staff anti-human trafficking training. STEPs will develop an instrument to measure changes in attitudes and beliefs in hotel/motel staff after going through anti-human trafficking training, help to calculate and report the results, measure the impact of the training 3, 6, and 9 months following the training, and publish a report with the results.

Description : The evaluation activities below are designed to build on STEPs work with the PMP Coalition in previous years to provide evidence for the coalition to use in assessing need and providing services. For this work plan, STEPs will provide a community assessment on marijuana in Iowa and Nebraska as well as provide various evaluation services for the PMP Coalition, including an evaluation plan, curriculum consultations, and facilitated discussion on next steps on evaluation.

Description : Conduct a proactive analysis of the local crime problems and assist law enforcement in developing a proactive plan for gun crime reduction in association with PSN efforts. Conduct a post-operation evaluation to determine if the impact of law enforcement operations were effective in the reduction of crime in the target areas. Description : A social work degree is traditionally required for child welfare work. The child welfare cohort provides undergraduate and graduate social work education to increase professionalization of the workforce, improve retention, and improve child and family outcomes. In the first year of this evaluation project, we will assess the provision of social work education to these student-workers, student-workers job satisfaction and retention, and contextual and organizational factors.

Description : Promotion/Prevention programs use methods or activities to reduce or deter specific problem behaviors such as bullying, gang involvement or substance abuse; or to promote positive behaviors and outcomes. Promotion/Prevention programs that aim for promoting positive behaviors can focus on employment skills, life skills, or be pro-social activities which are designed to encourage youth to behave in ways that benefit others. Prosocial activity/attitudes programs encourage a youth to behave voluntarily in ways intended to benefit others and fosters this through skills training.

Description : Using it's participatory, utilization-focused approach, STEPs will measure CSFs outcome variables through an online survey. The methodology, including survey items, will be based on the parent survey administered in 2015, and necessary changes will be made in discussion with CSF. STEPs will present a report to CSF upon completion of the project.

Description : Assist in the development of assessment instruments to be used by DCDC to identify risk and need factors among their inmate population. Provide a descriptive analysis of the inmate population admitted during a six-month period in 2017, including the risks and needs posed by those inmates. Conduct an analysis of the predictive validity of the inmate assessment instruments used by DCDC.

Description : The goal of this evaluation is to assess the needs of the populations of Douglas and Sarpy counties related to services provided by the Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP), and to assist ENCAP to create new programs to help meet unmet needs. The evaluation will include a the development of a logic model, a review of existing data and literature on national trends, demographic analysis of the specified counties, qualitative analysis of interviews with key informants and focus groups, and recommendations for revisions to existing programs.

Description : The primary purpose of this evaluation is for STEPs to measure program fidelity and participation impact of JVBA. Evaluation components will include developing a logic model for the JVBA program, a literature review, process evaluation, interviews, an outcomes evaluation, and a final report.
