Description : This research presents inconclusive findings on how network positions of firms, such as structural holes or closeness centrality in alliances, boost innovation performance. Additional clarity on this question can be gained by introducing contextual factors in an analysis of a firm’s network position. Drawing upon social network and institutional theory, Xiaoming Yang and others conducted an analysis that considers a firm’s structural position in its network and the level of institutional environment.

Lisa Knopp: Bread: A Memoir of Hunger, is all at once an illness, food, and spiritual memoir, will help readers, both those who suffer from a conflicted relationship with food, weight, and self-image and those who do not, to discover that eating disorders and disordered eating are about more than just food and weight.

Description : This Month: Dr. Roma Subramanian's presentation looks at how news stories on mental illness challenge or perpetuate stigma and how visual narratives might help decrease stigma. Subramanian's research includes the construction and effects of health news and campaigns, with regard to stigmatized disorders. Meetings are held monthly. Community Science Table is an organization for making science accessible to all by facilitating communication between scientists and the public. They organize venues that attend to the public’s inquiries and perceptions of science and prepare UNO STEM students to be more effective and approachable communicators.
