Description : Students engaged with the AIM Institute to learn about careers and skills used in coding and drone work. Students practiced flying drones and learned about how drones are used to help with military and rescue missions. Description : Students enrolled in ENGR 100 (Interpersonal Skills for Engineers) will teach topics related to their coursework to 4th and 5th grade students from the After-School Program at Kids Can Community Center. UNO students are grouped together into teams of 3-4 and each team will get the opportunity to practice their topic presentation one week before they go to Kids Can and work with the elementary students. Description : UNO students enrolled in Intro to Communication Disorders participated in up to 10 hours of service to various community organizations over the course of the semester. These organizations include Autism Society of Nebraska, Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands, and Ollie Webb. A final presentation session was held at the end of the semester for the students to present their experience working with individuals with disabilities and communication disorders, and how this experience strengthened student allyship and peer-to-peer connection to persons with disabilities. Description : The " Pollinators Garden" Project is an exciting and educational collaboration between students from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) and Walnut Creek Elementary School. In this two-semester endeavor, UNO students enrolled in the BIOL 1330 class will work together with students from Walnut Creek Elementary to create a Pollinator Garden. The primary goal of this project is to raise awareness about the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem and to actively contribute to their conservation efforts. To achieve this, both UNO and Walnut Creek students will participate in seed collection activities at Glacier Creek Preserve.   BIOL 1330.001 &.850 P-16

The project will culminate in a professional group presentation, where students will share their experiences, strengthen their referral skills, and enhance their presentation abilities, all of which are essential in the field of social work.
